Honeyed Hive
A regular evening gathering for women · Wedmore Vale, Bristol

Honeyed Hive is a place to rest deeply into being, into the yin, into the feminine.

Beneath the noise, there flows a deeper river — the feminine current. A rich, layered, primal well of remembering, deeper than the mind.

We connect to this current through the feminine practices of drumming, drawing, storytelling and movement. Here, you can leave the day-to-day world, and your rational mind, at the door.

Inside the hive

Think of the hive as a temple space holding a different frequency to the outside world. Warm, amber, glowing from within, with a heartbeat of its own. A place to drop beneath the surface of the everyday.

Here we loosen the hold on doing, and tend to our being. We open to the feminine mysteries, and start to hear the drumbeat of our own bodies.

Each gathering has the same simple shape

Arriving - We come into the hive and settle into sacred feminine temple space.
Myth and story - An old tale told aloud, a gateway into our own stories.
Drum and rattle - Rhythm to move the story through the body.
Mark-making -Colour, line and symbol on paper.
Rest - Time to lie back and let it all settle in the body.

And tea.

No experience needed.

What stirs

The old stories give us language for where we are. As they are told, something rises in us, asking to be seen, to speak. Here it has room.

You may meet a part of your soul you had forgotten. Hear her voice. Feel her come back into being. Begin to touch your own mythos.

This is the deep remembering. It was always yours.

The first gathering: Friday 13 November

We begin with the myth of the selkie, and coming back home to our true skin.

Friday 13th is Venus’s day, the day of the goddess. Thirteen is the number of the moons in a year and of the cycles a woman’s body moves through, a number that has always belonged to women.

There will be drumming, so bring your own drum or rattle if you have one. There will be drums to borrow.

Cost: £22
